In some scenarios you need to install the SCCM client using another Software Distribution tool than Configuration Manager, yes I know it sounds strange ;-)

If you have tried this you know that the Ccmsetup.exe installs a service and the exits in the user context so that control is returned to the vbscript, cmd file or whatever method you use to run Ccmsetup.

There are two ways of solving this:

1. Run Ccmsetup.exe with the /noservice switch then ccmsetup runs the setup in the user with which you triggered the installation and not using  a service in System context. Continue reading

The Server Locator Point is no more a separate site system role in SCCM 2012. It’s functionality is merged into the Management Point.
To install CM12 client on workgroup machines:
1. Make sure your Management Point is published on DNS or WINS
2. Make sure Management Point FQDN can be resolved from the client machine

Configuration Manager 2007 gives you an option to create New folder (kind of Custom reports folder ) with New Category to create your Own reports what you required But in Configuration Manager 2012,i don’t see way to create New folder to create all the custom reports for your reference.
Creation of Custom folder is not available in configuration Manager 2012 ,the only option left out is to go with Category .
How do you create New Citatory ? If you right click on reports node from Configuration Console,you don’t get such option to create one.
You will have to go with web reports with enough rights to create it.
